6th in the 2017 Bridgestone World Solar Challenge

In 2017, we took UNLIMITED 2.0 on the brutal trek across the Australian outback. We faced uncharacteristic and severe weather conditions during the challenge but as we had a close-knit team and a reliable well-honed vehicle we were able to place 6th in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge.

1st in the 2018 American Solar Challenge

Following our success in the 2017 Bridgestone World Solar Challenge, we set our sights on the 2018 American Solar Challenge, becoming the first team to represent Australia in the US.

UNLIMITED 2.0 began by completing the qualifying event for the American Solar Challenge, the Formula Sun Grand Prix, in 3rd place with 333 laps and set the fastest lap time overall.

Following a strong start to the event UNLIMITED 2.0 continued to perform, placing 1st in 4 out of the 5 stages and ultimately taking home the title with a narrow margin of 15 minutes ahead of the 18 year champions, University of Michigan. This crowned us as the first international team to take victory at the American Solar Challenge.
